オープニング～テーブルトピックスセッション
The year's at the spring.時は春、
The day's at the morn.
日は朝（あした）、
Morning's at seven.
朝は七時（ななとき）、
The hillside's dew pearled.
片岡に露みちて、
The lark's on the wing.
揚雲雀（あげひばり）なのりいで、
The snail's on the thorn.
蝸牛（かたつむり）枝に這ひ、
God's in His heaven.
神、そらに知ろしめす。

本日の司会はTM Imさん。この日の例会はテーマである「春」にちなんでロバートブラウニングの有名な詩と共に始まりました。
Toastmaster of the Day Im started off the meeting with the famous Robert Browning poem that impressed the Meeting Theme "Spring" on us.
GRAHCOのTM Ogさんの選んだ本日の言葉は、"buoyant"。"buoyant"って「液体に浮かぼうとする」という意味だけではないんです。「(気分が)落ち込みにくい」という意味もあるって知っていますか。失敗してもすぐに落ち込まないでくださいね。Stay Buoyant!
GRAHCO TM Og has chosen "buoyant" as the Word of the Day. Do you know the word "buoyant" means not only "tending to float in a fluid" but also "not easily depressed"? Do not be easily depressed even if you fail. Stay buoyant!
TM Onさんには「ジョーク/ティップス（コツ）」のコーナーで、英語の発音練習のために時には「醜くなる」ことも必要だということを披露しました。
TM On has demonstrated being "ugly" for English pronunciation practice in Joke/Tips session.
「テーブルトピックス/即興スピーチ」のコーナーではTM Myさんが想像力をかきたてる様々な興味深い質問で楽しませてくれました。彼が度々使った「Never mind even if you fail/失敗しても気にしない」はトーストマスターズクラブの精神です。
TM My has entertained us with a variety of intriguing questions that have stimulated our imagination. He often said, "Never mind even if you fail". That is the spirit of our Toastmasters Club.
準備スピーチセッション
TM Krさんは、「Move、Talk、Guide/動こう、話そう、ガイドしよう！」という抱負と、それにちなんだエピソードを交えて、彼女自身の誕生日を祝福しました。彼女は、トーストマスターズクラブなどの活動を通じて自身の成長を実感しているみたいですね。 TM Krさん、その調子でMove, Talk, Guide！
TM Kr congratulated herself on her birthday with her resolution and relevant episodes of "Move, Talk, Guide!". She looked to feel herself growing through the Toastmasters Club and other activities. TM Kr, keep on moving, talking, and guiding!
TM Fwさんは、彼女がベストヘアスタイル賞を受賞したという想定で英語スピーチしました。 彼女は子供の頃と10代の頃の笑えるエピソードを披露。彼女の現在のヘアスタイリストへの謝辞は、私が彼だったら言われたいぐらい素敵でした。
TM Fw gave a speech assuming when she accepted the Best Hairstyle Award. She entertained us with some funny episodes in her childhood and teen-ager. The acknowledgment to her current stylist was so wonderful that I wanted to be told if I were him.
TM Asさんは、今を生きていると実感するほうを選ぶことがどんなに重要なことかについての英語スピーチをしました。悩みぬいた末の決断と、自由に今を生きていると実感することの重要性。そのコントラストを描き出したところが、印象的で共感できました。
TM As talked about how important to choose the way he felt alive. It was impressive and empathetic that he illustrated the contrast between his decision through struggle and the importance of feeling free and alive.
TM Gtさんは、ご自身のスリリングな経験についての英語スピーチを披露され、見事ベストスピーカー賞を獲得しました。
TM Gt won the Best Speaker with the speech about his dangerous experience which occurred to him.
論評セッション
TM Ucさん、TM Otさん、TM Osさん、およびTM Kwさんがそれぞれの英語スピーカーにフィードバックしました。論評者の皆さんは、英語スピーカー想いで、前向きで、元気を与えてくれました。TM Kwさんは良かった点と提案の両面の的確なフィードバックでベスト論評者を獲得しました。
TM Uc, TM Ot, TM Os, and TM Kw gave feedback to the respective speakers. All Evaluators appeared sincere, positive, and motivating.TM Kw won the Best Evaluator with her valid feedbacks in both positive points and suggestions.
編集後記
例会で"Very"という単語をよく耳にします。"Very"は伝えたいことを表現するのに必ずしも的確な言葉とは限りません。
次回の例会の"Toastmaster of the Day(司会)"の私から提案です。次回の例会のテーマは、"No Very Marathon"としました。このゲームは、"Very"を使うことなく、"Very"より適切なことばを使うことを皆さんに課します。すべてのメンバーが"Very"を使わずに例会を終えた時がゴールです。さあ、やってみましょう！
Post Meeting Note
I often hear the members saying "very" so many times at the club meeting. I do not think it is an appropriate word to express what they really want to say. I will be Toastmaster of the Day at the next meeting. I have raised the meeting theme "No Very Marathon". It is the game to challenge all members to avoid using "very" and to choose a more appropriate word than "very". We can reach the goal when all speakers do not use "very" throughout the meeting. Let's give it a go!
