英語スピーチ例会レポート
本日のTMODは先月にCCマニュアルを完了させられたShさん。TMODは当日のミーティングテーマを決める権限が有ります。本日のミーティングテーマは”Good Luck”。
昨年行われたロシアワールドカップ参戦に続き、2020年の東京オリンピックの陸上競技抽選にも当選されたそうです。チケット当選の秘訣は”Just do it”.成功の秘訣はまずはやってみること。納得です。
TMODとなると、ついつい、張り切りすぎてしゃべり過ぎる前のめりなメンバーもたまにいますが/笑、英語スピーカーを主役にしたとても初めてとは思えない時間通りの例会運営でした。
テーブルトピックスセッション
本日のテーブルトピックマスターは我らがプレジデントのAsさん。現在、移行期間中のPathwaysには、”テーブルトピックスマスターとしてロールをこなし、論評してもらう”、という課題が有ります。”タイムマシーンを1度だけ使えるなら過去・未来のどちらに行きますか？””朝、起きたらあと自分には24時間しか無いと分かりました。残された時間で何をしますか？”と、言った質問でした。
当たったメンバーも想像力を働かせて当意即妙に答えていきます。
プリペアードスピーチセッション
写真は4人目のスピーカーOsさん。英語スピーチタイトル”Come to the New World”。今年の全国大会に出場したコンテスタントたちのエピソードからの気づきを元にした英語スピーチでした。ディストリクト大会で聞く事が出来るスピーチは、それまでの段階で100回は練習し、数百人の聴衆の前で披露された洗練されたスピーチです。
キーメッセージは”初めてクラブに参加した日のことを忘れるな”です。トーストマスターズを何年もやっていると、”ある事が当たり前”になって、初めてクラブに参加した時の新鮮な気持ちを忘れてしまいます。本日はゲストが13人いたのですが彼ら彼女らのフレッシュなモチベーションから得る部分は凄く大きいです。
聞き取りやすい英語、導入部の”掴み”、小道具の使い方、結論までの運び、、、と大ベテランのOsさんの技術の粋が全て詰まっているような英語スピーチでした。
あとがき
本日のGRAHCOを担当した。Krです(メンバー歴:1年)。GRAHCOは3つあるアシスタントロールの一つですが、奥深いロールです。スピーチの中で使われやすいword of the dayのチョイスや英語スピーチの中で使われた”良かった表現”をピックアップして発表する時間があるからとても勉強になります。English Speech Meeting Report
Today's TMOD was TM Sh who completed the CC manual last month. TMOD has the authority to decide the theme of the meeting. Today's meeting theme was "Good Luck".
Following the participation of the World Cup in Russia last year, she also could get the ticket in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The tips for getting a ticket is “Just do it.” It was surely persuasive.When being assigned to TMOD, sometimes there is a member who speaks overly, but her way of operation the meeting was so well successful.
Table topics session
Today's table topic master was TM As, our president. Currently, it is under the transition period from the existing manual to Pathways. And among the pathways, there is a project, "complete the role as a Table Topics Master and get evaluation". The questions were “If you can use the time machine only once, will you go to the past or the future?” “You knew that you have only 24 hours after waking up. What would you do with the remaining time?”
The members who were pointed out answered successfully by their imagination.
Prepared speech session
The 4Th speaker was TM Os. English speech title was "Come to the New World". It was an English speech based on the experience from the episodes of the contestants who participated in this year's district contest. The speeches that can be heard at the district contest are sophisticated speeches that have been practised 100 times up to that time and presented in front of hundreds of audiences.
The key message was "Don't forget the day you joined the club at first." The more we continue to work as a Toastmaster, the more we tend to forget the feeling when joined the club for the first time. At that day, the number of guests was 13. We can also remember the first attendance from their fresh motivation.
Easy-to-understand English, catchy introduction, use of props, stream to the conclusion, ... it was an English speech that is full of the skills of great veteran Os.
