みなとみらいトーストマスターズクラブの3回目のオンライン例会が4月10日に行われました。オンラインは初参加のJm, Rsも加わり、19名のメンバーに2名のゲストを迎えました。
Third Online meeting was held on Apr. 11, with a total of 19 members including Jm and Rs who joined the online meeting for the first time. We had 2 guests as well. 

今回は通常例会とは違うスピーチマラソンを行いました。スピーチの機会を増やす為時々このイベントが行われます。司会者はGtさんでスピーチをマラソンの聖火リレーのトーチに例え始まりました。
Today’s Speech Marathon event is sometimes held to give members more chances to make a speech. Toastmaster of the Day (TMOD) Gt said that today’s speech marathon was like torches carrying Olympic flames.

準備スピーチ・セッション/Prepared Speech Session

トップバッターはNkさんで我々のコミュニケーションではface expressionの果たす役割が大きいというメッセージを有名なメラビアンの法則を引き合いにして説明してくださいました。
Top batter Nk, his title of speech “Power of facial expression”. It’s about the importance of facial expression when communicating referring to Melabian’s Rule. His speech sounded a good hint for our zoom meeting hereafter.

2番目の英語スピーチはOtさんの"Benchwarmer"で高校時代のバスケクラブでの体験をもとに友人から学んだリーダシップの神髄についての内容でした。自作のイラストを見せながらのプレゼンでした。
2nd speaker Ot,’s speech “Benchwarmer” was about what he learned through his basketball club games of his high school days. Handwritten illustrations on slides attracted us very much.

3番目の英語スピーチはMtさんの"What kind of leader am I?"でした。いろいろなリーダーのタイプを実在した人物の例を挙げながら、果たして自分はどのタイプかと考察する興味深い内容でした。ズームのカメラをとてもうまく使っていて効果的でした。
3rd speaker Mt talked about “what kind of leader am I?” using zoom camera effectively. As a toastmaster, the topic attractive and her good point was she focused on types of leaders naming some great past leaders.

4番目はYdさんの"A folding bike is my partner"で多趣味なYdさんの活動的な一面がよく表れていました。実際に実物も見せながらで具体的でした。スライドも使い走った場所も地図で示し、情報満載のスピーチでした。
TM Yd’s speech “A folding bike is my partner” is just the speech for him. He likes travelling and cycling. How far he ran carrying folding bike so far, that’s amazing.! His plan for the future sounded quite adventurous.

5番目の英語スピーカーはSbさん"What I need at the sale of Hermes"。駐在したパリで赤ん坊を抱えて念願のエルメスのセールで体験したフランス人の優しさを語って下さいました。フランス人を見直したそうです。
Sb’s speech, “What I need for the sale at Hermes” It’s an episode when she and her family stayed in Paris. Though she didn’t feel so intimate toward French people so far, through her shopping with her baby at Hermes’s Sale, she changed her mind. 

次のスピーチはMyさんの"What I’ve learned a lot from India"。 インド駐在を前に先輩から学んだ３つのアドバイスについて豊富な写真などをスライドを使い説明してくれました。
TM My’s speech originated from his stay for business in India. We could often make a speech based on our work experience. He showed us many photos using slides. His stay in India must have meant big to him.

さて最後のスピーカーは我が会長のFjさんの"Belly Dance"でした。PCを離れ衣装にも工夫を凝らし、ムードを出していました。ズームでのスピーチの可能性の幅を広げたデリバリーでした。
The last speaker our President Fj made an entertaining speech, yes, it’s about Belly Dance! She focused on costumes and movement as well. It’s a pity that speech was made online. We could feel, however, her passion to make the best delivery.

あとがき/postscript

今日の例会レポートはImが担当しました。スピーチに続き、同じ数の論評スピーチを聞くのは エネルギーがいりますが、家で過ごす時間が多いこの頃、貴重な時間でした。
The report was written, TM Im. It’s a bit hectic meeting. We need concentration to listen to seven speeches and evaluation speeches of the same number afterwards. However, under the present circumstances related to Corona, I think it’s a valuable way of spending time.

冒頭、会長TM Fjより、「コロナウィルスの影響で自宅での生活が続いていますが、何か新しいことはありましたか？」と全員に一言ずつ、コメントを求める質問があり、たいへん場の雰囲気が和みました。まだ、コロナウィルス感染を避ける為、行動の自粛が続きますが、ZOOMでの参加で気分転換をしましょう。

Our President TM FJ began to deliver a speech regarding Coronavirus situation while at the same time she asked evert member what something new happens? This question made every member one remark in the latest situation. We continue to face the dilemma not to feel free to go out, but we will release our frustration in Zoom meeting!

本日のTMODはTM Fwさんで、スポーツクラブ再開の逸話からスムーズな流れで始まりました。 またGRACHOのTM Prさんが選んだ本日の言葉”” Ingrainedは、 形容詞で「根深く染み込ませる」の意味があります。

Toastmasters of the day is TM FW. She went smoothly to introduce her cooperators from the anecdote of restarting her sport gym. Today’s “Word of the day was “Ingrained” which means “firmly fixed, deep-rooted”. 

さて最初のセッションのJoke/Tips MasterのTM Imさん 軽妙な会話によるジョーク、Table Topics MasterのTM Otさんは現状のコロナウィルスに関するトピックスで会場を盛り上げてくれました。

Regarding the first session, TM Im boosted the atmosphere of vivid conversation joke and TM Ot picked up the latest Coronavirus topics and then he led the meeting to icebreak!

準備スピーチ・セッション/Prepared Speech Session

ベスト・スピーカー賞は、TM Adさんが受賞。おめでとうございます！詳細は、下記をご覧ください。TM Ogさん：英語スピーチタイトルは「This is me」。幼少期に経験されたたいへん貴重なお話でした。

TM Osさん：英語スピーチタイトルは「Congratulations Greta」洞察力に富む、受賞スピーチの内容でした。TM Gtさん：英語のスピーチタイトル「“Mentoring” The first Teamwork!」は率直にメンターシステムの感想を述べられているスピーチで色々勉強になりました。


Congratulations on TM Ad! TM Ad was given the best prepared speaker and then this presentation consisted of virus to prevent PC and Smartphone from infection by Malware etc. She has been a security expert and then her experience made us persuasive and caution.

TM Og speech made us moved by his grandfather anecdotes. TM Os award ceremony speech made us think about the way to waste enough garbage. The mentor system TM Gt pointed out was food for thought.

論評セッション/Evaluation Session 

総じて皆さんからのフィードバックは、積極的で快活、楽しいものでした。ベスト論評賞は、TM FJさんが獲得しました。 Ucさんの論評は、ユーモアたっぶりで終始、笑いが絶えませんでした。TM Iwさんは最初の機知に富む言葉で笑いを取り、TM Krさんは山本五十六の逸話を冒頭に展開し聴衆を魅了しました。

All the feedbacks of every evaluator were bright, positive and vivid! The best evaluator was TM Fj who shows a demonstration of verbal communication. TM Uc was enough sense of humor and then from the beginning to end the laugh continued to evoke! 

TM Iｗ succeeds in capturing his audience attention from the beginning of his witty remarks “ Congratulation on Os”. TM Kr picked up “ The general Yamamoto Isoroku” ‘s anecdote which leads the predecessors to grow up and then held the audience’s attention. 

またベスト・テーブル・トピック賞は、TM Imさんが受賞。自信の職業と絡めて地球の環境問題までに展開する素晴らしい即興スピーチでした

As a table topic award, TM Im was given. Her speech was wonderful impromptu speech connected her professional job with global warming controversial issues!

あとがき/Editor’s Note

素晴らしいオンラインミーティングを開催して頂いてVPM Krさん、Otさんに感謝申し上げます。コロナウィルスで外出できないでいる中、一服の清涼剤になりました。

I really appreciate Kr-san and Ot-san because I release my frustration without feeling free to go outside.

Thanks to all the members. I think we begin to live in an uncertain era out-breaking novel virus and then I want to put my ordinary life in the priority.
