＜Golden Week / ゴールデンウィーク＞
Hello, everyone!! How was/ has been your golden week? Our early summer holidays began with the previous meeting. I hope you had a great time. Now playback!!!
全国各地で夏日を観測したそうです。行楽日和のゴールデンウィーク。我々みなとみらいメンバーのゴールデンウィークの皮切りは、先月末の例会！皆さん、いい休暇を過ごされましたでしょうか？もうちょっと前に感じるよ、と言わず、さあ一緒にプレイバック！
＜TMOD/ 司会挨拶＞
The host of the meeting was ™.CT. She introduced every role taker with lots of love and respect. She created a warm atmosphere which encouraged the members for mutual understanding and support.
今回の司会はCTさん。登壇するスピーカーを丁寧に紹介！その人の人柄や、得意なことやキャリアにおいて頑張ってきたことなど、そうなんだ！と思い、話のきっかけになりそうなことを交えるトーク。今回のスピーチプロジェクトの内容にもさらりとふれ、登壇を見守りながら、例会のなかで参加者が相互理解を深めあえるようなサポートを行い、終始和やかにミーティングをリードしました。
＜Table Topics Session / 即興スピーチ＞
At the Table Topics Session, we develop our impromptu speech skills.
The Table Topics Master was ™JN. This was her first time to take this role. But she asked good questions and her session was cheerful and full of energy and smiles.
1. Do you feel happy to live in your country?
2. Do you think the students get money from the government?
3. How do you reframe “negative” situations to “positive” ones?
4. What inspires you to start to learn a new language?
5. If you can put a piece of paper in a “fortune cookie”, what sentence are you willing to write on it?
【テーブルトピックス】のセッションでは、その場でお題が与えられて、１分〜２分で即興スピーチを披露します。短い時間で考えをまとめて人前で話す、即興力と度胸が鍛えられます。即興スピーチの司会はJNさん。今回このクラブで初めての挑戦。和やかに、活気があり、笑顔と共感に満ちた空気感、JNさんの人柄を感じる質問の数々！素晴らしいセッションになりました。ブラボー❤❤
1. 自分の国に住んでいて幸せだなあと思いますか？
2. 大学生が政府からの給付金をもらうことについてどう思いますか？
3. ネガティブな気持ちになっているとき、どうポジティブに切り替えますか？
4. 新しい言語を学ぼう！という気持ちを後押ししてくれるものは何ですか？
5. もし「フォーチュンクッキー（＊固い△型のクッキーの空内部に一文書いた紙が入っているもの）に一言書いて入れるとしたら、なんて書きますか？」
<Prepared Speech Session/ 準備スピーチ>
① SSさん「Arabic music and cultural merge - アラブの音楽と文化の融合 」
™.SS was an audio engineer. He worked to open the market and to enhance local production in developing countries. He bought many CDs and listened to them to know the characteristics/tastes of local music.
He found out the similarities among the countries and cultures. The music of North Africa is influenced by Europe. Also, Indian music and Arabic music sound alike to him.
He learned history. Long long time ago, the Great King of Alexander conquered the huge area and built the empire. The cultures mixed each other and merged. The king learned from Aristotle. ™.SS guesses that the education affected his morals and attitudes, which accelerated cultural/ musical fusion.
™.SS’s interests are wide and deep. He played the music of the areas he mentioned and the audience enjoyed it.
音響機器メーカーのエンジニアとして長く勤務されたSSさん。そのなかでも、途上国におけるマーケット開拓、現地生産の製品づくりに携わったことは特に思い出深い。
世界各地、その土地、その土地で育まれ、愛されてきた音楽は異なる。どんな音楽が人気なのだろう、どんなCDが聴かれているのだろうと聴いたそうだ。その音楽の性質や特徴を拾い、再現するに適した構造を持つ製品を開発する視点。プロフェッショナルの仕事魂。展開する話に引き込まれる。
北アフリカは、海峡を隔てたヨーロッパの国々からの文化的影響を強く受けている。モロッコはスペイン、チュニジアはイタリア＆フランスというように。
また、SSさんが訪れたインドはアラブの影響が色濃いと感じたそうだ。両者の音楽はとても似ているらしい。その昔、アレキサンダー大王が大帝国を作り、当時の世界統一を成し遂げた。インド（東方）遠征も行い、その際に広く文化の融合が起きたと考えられる。単純な制圧・支配ではなくて、アリストテレスから倫理学を学んだ大王は、現地への理解やリスペクトがあったからこそ、各地域、アラブの文化とインド文化は混ざりあい、類似性が生まれたのではないかとSSさんは推察する。
アラブの音楽は日本人の耳には独特なリズムとサウンド。砂漠を越えてオアシスを巡るベドウィン。ラクダに乗って移動するときの揺れるリズム、その生活に根ざした音が生きているのだろうと考える。
音楽と暮らしと旅。世界を渡り歩いてきたSSさんの好奇心と洞察力には果てがない。
②FRさん「Favorable windー幸先のいい風」
The 2nd speaker was ™FR.
“We have to know what we want to get in our lives”.......??
™.FR was born in Mexico and was happy when he was a boy. Life seemed to be easy and fun. As getting older, he had no choice but to feel responsible and life became complicated and hard. He enjoyed his high school life but after graduation he couldn’t find his next step. He started at/ with his cousin but one day, he left Mexico and went out to the world.
If one finds what he/she wants to do, life would be simple and easy…. he thought.
People tend to want “get more money, nicer cars and bigger houses. More, more and more.
He has kept thinking about his own values.
He has lived in several different countries. Every time he has experienced the following steps.
1. Excitement; Everything looks new and fun
2. Frustration: Start to feel different and hate people do that way
3. Acceptance
Life is long and unforeseeable. It’s not easy to find the exact object of life and feel a sense of achievement. ™.FN might be in the middle of his journey. So are we. It’s natural to be at a loss sometimes in our lives. But his words have a light of positiveness even in the uncertain world. We can find the “favorable wind”.
「何をし、何を得るべし」という目標や答えが明確ならば、人生は生きるのが容易になるだろう。
メキシコで生まれ育ったFRさん。幸せだった幼少期。生きることはただ楽しく、シンプルだった。大人になるにつれ、責任は増え、難しい局面が増えるようになった。高校を卒業したあと、何をしたらいいのかわからなかった。目的を見つけられず、進学ではなく、親族のところで働いた。その後、母国を出て世界へ。
たくさんのお金を稼ぎたい、出世したい、素敵な車、大きい家が欲しい…！
人間の欲望には際限がない。でもそうした現実的かつ俗物的な欲望と価値観を持つことに一歩引いた考えを持つFRさん。国境や文化を越えて働き生活するなかで、様々な考えを抱きながら生きてきた。
新しい国に行くと、以下のような感情のステップがあるそうだ。
1. 興奮でわくわく期＝全てが新しく新鮮で楽しい
2. フラストレーション期ー人々の自分とは異なるやりかたに疑問と苛立ちを感じる
3. 受容期ー違いや個性を受け入れられるようになる
明確な目標と達成感。ポジティブな姿勢を大切に歩むこと。各国を渡り歩いてきた自身の経験と、ローマ帝国時代の哲学者【セネカ】の思索に想いを馳せる。人生に吹く「風」を感じながら。
③KMさん「Stage of our lifeー人生という名のステージ」
The 3rd speaker was ™.KM.
She was on the stage, singing and playing the role of “Jean Valjean” from “Les
Misérables.” Her deep and strong voice was excellent.
™.KM belonged to a drama club when she was a junior/high school student.
She cherishes the memories there and recalls the feelings and joy on the stage.
The OGs of the club hold a “Reunion Party”. 50 people from 15 grades got together and talked about the passion and memories there.
™.KM asked herself, “Do I enjoy my stage?” The stage is our own real life now. She encouraged us to think about our life and ourselves. Even though there are many hard things in our life, “you are the main role in your life. You can be anyone on your stage.”
Her message was clear and gave us power to be true to ourselves.
「・・・！！！」無言のなかの言いようのない緊迫感。彼女に何が誰が憑依しているのか。
いつもの笑顔から一転、目を見開き宙を睨む目。そう、彼女は『レ・ミゼラブル』の登場人物、『ジャン・バルジャン』だった。太い声で歌い上げる。この私はいったい誰なのかと。
中高の学生時代ドラマクラブに所属していたＫＭさん。圧倒的歌唱力と演技力で、演台を劇場に変えるのは、もうみなとみらいでの名物でもある。
打ち込んだ部活の思い出。時を経てクラブの同窓会が開かれ、15学年から50人の先輩後輩が大集合。思い出の作品や役柄、歌にかけた想いを語り合い、若かりし日に捧げた情熱を懐かしむ。
そうした人生の振り返りの中で、自分自身の人生を演劇になぞらえる。人生における自分の存在とは。ステージの上でいきいきと動き語る登場人物のように、私たちは自分の人生というステージを生きているのだと。もっと自分らしく、そう主役は私/ あなたなのだから。
自分の選択と決断の積み重ねで作られる人生をもっとパワフルに自分色で生きていいと背中を押されるスピーチでした。
<Speech Evaluation Session/ 論評スピーチ>
Evaluators deliver their speeches to encourage the prepared speakers by appreciating their efforts and good points. They also give them suggestions to improve their speeches and delivery styles.
総合論評者のリードのもと、各論評者は担当のスピーチのどこが素晴らしかったか、どんな工夫や表現に魅力を感じたか、いい点や各スピーカーの強みを捉えて伝えました。
次に、どのような点に留意し、デリバリーするとよりよいスピーチになるか、改善点を提案しました。
＜General Evaluation/ 総合論評＞
General Evaluator was ™.SJ. He gave us powerful, happy and encouraging feedback. He evaluated all evaluators, roletakers and the meeting in general.
™.SJさんによる包括的な総合論評。各論評者を紹介し、その後当日その場でいいところ、改善点など各ロールテーカーに一言ずつコメントをしていきました。

Hi, I’m Yukiko. Did you have a lot of fun during your holidays? I worked so hard and I enjoyed it.
I did job hunting recently and got a new job. I’ll leave my current place and go to the next.
I had great people and made a lot of friends. It was not easy to decide to leave and to say goodbye to them. But at the same time, I’m excited about my new challenge. April inspirations. What a coincidence.
It’s important to have “Home” in our hearts. My workplace has been my home. Also Minato-Mirai TMC has been and will be my/our home too.
I’m looking forward to seeing you at the next meeting.
ゴールデンウィークも終盤。４月から始まった新年度、新しい生活が始まった人も、自分は例年通りでも、新しい仲間を迎えた人や、そんなステージを見守る側に立った人も、みんなちょっと一息つける、そんな休暇。
小売業に従事する私は、全力ゴールデンウィーク商戦！「こいのぼりパン」や、「柏餅セット」、「こどもの日ロール寿司」、様々な食べものに囲まれて過ごしました。
個人的な話ですが、人生初の転職をすることにしました。あたりまえのようにある/ あった、気の合う大好きな仲間との時間。「おつかれさま！」「じゃあね」と次会うのがいつかを言わなくても、当然すぐ会えると思ってきたことが、本当は特別なことだったことを知りました。自分で決めたこととはいえ、内心とても寂しい。同時に新しいチャレンジがとても楽しみでもある。作っても作っても終わらないお弁当製造リスト。わーきゃー言いつつ残業をしている時間でさえ、仲間と過ごすその一瞬がどこまでも愛おしいような気がするゴールデンウィークでした。「これまでありがとう、行ってくる！」あっけらかんと元気に去ることが最後に見せる私らしさだと信じつつ。
センチメンタルモードに傾きそうななか、みなとみらいにいけば、いつもの仲間と会える！わたしの/ わたしたちのホームはここにもある。次回の例会で、またみなさんに笑顔でお会いできるのを楽しみにしています☆彡
