<Harvest Season / はじめに>
Hello, everyone!!
It’s so pleasant recently when I go to work in the morning in the fresh air.
We don’t need to find the shade of trees so as not to get sunburned. Autumn has come.
Last Saturday, we got together and enjoyed the fulfilling meeting.

「暑さ寒さも彼岸まで」という言葉どおり、過ごしやすい空気とともに、すっかり秋。
日の落ちる時間がどんどん早くなっていくことに季節の移ろいを感じます。
「秋」をミーティングテーマに集い、今回も実りある学びの時を過ごしました。

＜TMOD/ 司会挨拶＞
The host of the meeting was ™.SB.
She set the meeting theme, “Autumn”. Because of its agreeable climate and blessings, autumn could be the best season for many things. “What would you like to do this autumn?” With her gentle smile, she asked the members and facilitated the meeting.
今回の総合司会は素敵なマダム、ＳＢさん。読書の秋、スポーツの秋、食欲の秋…秋は「○○の秋」として様々なことのベストシーズン。みんなにとってどんな秋になりそうか優しいほほえみで問いかけ、穏やかに例会をリードし、メンバーの登壇を見守りました。

Today’s Joke/Tips master was ™.KR.
She has a warm heart and gentle eyes to the others. She is like a therapist who cures us.
She gave a presentation on “Aromatherapy”.
™.KR introduced its origin, efficacy and demonstrated how to use it with gestures and presentation slides. She also brought 4 small bottles of samples: Cloves, lemon, lavender and eucalyptus. We sniffed them!! Great scents!!
We felt so relaxed and comfortable.. I especially liked “cloves”, the spicy scent of wood and soil. Thank you!!
今日のオープニングセッションを担当したのは、ＫＲさん。あたたかい人柄と優しさでみんなの心を癒す、セラピストのような存在です。
ご自身が好きだという「アロマセラピー」をトピックに、その歴史や使い方、効能を伝授。４つのおすすめの香り（クローヴ・レモン・ラベンダー・ユーカリ）のエッセンシャルオイルを茶色の小瓶につめて、持ってきてくれました。くんくんくん。
みんなでその香りを楽しみ、笑顔が広がったひとときでした。（私はほどよい土くささやウッディなスパイス感のあるクローヴが気に入りました☆彡）

Table Topics Master was ™. KM. We enjoyed her good questions and unique answers.

Q1: Which season do you like the best and why?
A: Autumn. Best season to try new things. I’ll get the drone license.
Q2 : Autumn is a good season for reading. Please recommend some book you like to us?
A:【A Room of One’s Own】by Virginia Woolf. The book inspired me to think about women’s rights, freedom and independence.
Q3 : What is your favorite food, especially in autumn?
A: Matsutake mushroom, sanma fish and sweet potatoes!!
Q4 : Which site do you recommend to visit?”
A: Hakone. Enjoy the hot spring, ice cream and beautiful scenery with your beloved ones.
【テーブルトピックス】のセッションでは、その場でお題が与えられて、１分〜２分で即興スピーチを披露します。短い時間で考えをまとめて人前で話す、即興力と度胸が鍛えられます。
司会はKMさん。今年の秋は「登山の秋」にするそうです。登山初心者であるというKMさん。神奈川県の大山はじめ、近隣の山からデビューする予定であると笑顔で話してくれました。
＜質問と回答＞
①「四季の中で、どの季節が一番好き？それはなぜ？」
→「秋が好き。新しい挑戦に最適。この秋、ドローンの操作免許取得に挑戦します！」
②「読書の秋！おすすめの本を紹介してください」
→「イギリス文学【A Room of One’s Own】by Virginia Woolf（邦題：『自分だけの部屋』/著ヴァージニア・ウルフ）。学生時代に読んで、女性の自由と自立について考え、人生における影響を受けたのです」（まじめか！…まじめだ。。）
③「秋の味覚。大好きな食べものは？」
→「秋はお取り寄せのまつたけが美味ですぞ」（まちがいない！食べたことないけど！）
④「秋のおでかけ。おすすめの観光地を教えて」
→「箱根に行って、温泉とアイスクリームと風光明媚な自然を満喫してほしい！」
楽しいセッションになりました。
<Prepared Speech Session/ 準備スピーチ>
① OGさん「Now starting matching app/ーマッチングアプリ 運命の恋を探せ」
“Oh… I need to deliver my speech at the next meeting. I don’t have time. What should I talk about?” He hit on an idea. “Matching app!! That’s it!!”
He is looking for the One. An angel in his life as his partner. Where is she? Now he gets into a matching app. He analyzes the data, trends and acts!!
He checked the men/women ratio of the users. He noticed the importance of profile photos because it has a great influence on the first impression. A professional photographer took his best shots. It costed 10,000yen. To retouch the photo to make him a more handsome man, plus 4,000yen. Money is NOT a big deal!!
He makes good use of the “golden time”, 10pm-12pm, users are the most active in this timeframe. It’s very important to put his profile to be seen!! The billing system is very efficient to get a good position in the corner!!
Go!! ™.OG!! GO!! We laughed and his words, comical gestures and eye contact captured our hearts. We, the audience, became his supporters. Looking forward to your next report!!
「さて。スピーチの順番が回ってきたぞ。何を話したものだろう。時間もない。
そうだ！これでいこう！今自分が寝る時間を削ってでも情熱を注ぐ、あれだ！」
恋に恋する男は語り始めました。今、真剣に出会いを求めてマッチングアプリに取り組んでいます。理系男子ＯＧさんは全力で分析をし、行動を起こします。
コロナ前後のマッチングアプリ市場の動向を冷静に確認。ユーザーの男女比率、スマホの画面越しに好印象を与えるためにはプロフィール写真が大事。勝率を上げるためにユーザーが最も多く行動する「ゴールデンタイム」をいかに活用するか。どんどん分析していきます。
そこからの行動力がすごい。プロのカメラマンに写真を撮ってもらい、追加料金を払って美男子加工を依頼（さして変わらなかったらしい。笑）、一部のいわゆる「ハイスぺ男子（ハイスペック＝好条件を揃えている）」をかきわけて、女子の視線とハートをつかむために、検索時ヒットするプロフィールの序列を上げる課金制度の活用…。
真剣すぎる姿が仲間にとって面白く、かわいくて爆笑の渦。彼の恋バナエピソードは失敗をしつつ決してめげないところがコミカルでみんな大好き。なぜか応援したくなります。
スピーチ後、兄貴・姉貴たちからツッコミと質問が入りまくりの愛されスピーチになりました。
② ONさん ｢Planning for the 400th Meeting- 架空でも本気！400回記念例会の計画立案」
The 2nd speaker was ™.ON.
Her project was difficult and complex. “Share an event plan (=speech). Ask the members what the problems are with executing the plan and present impromptu solutions to them (=Q&A session).”
Her event was our Minato-Mirai Toastmasters Club’s 400th meeting event!! ( Not a real plan, but a fictitious one just for this presentation)
She shared the details. The date: Dec.23-24. Destination: Hakone (Famous for hot spring resort in Kanagawa). Cost: 30,000- 40,000 JPY. Transportation: Bus. Guest: Toastmasters world champion 2023 from US!! Party attire: Yukata… and so on!!
The discussion by the club members was so hot!! “Is it appropriate to hold the event on Christmas weekend!?” “Isn't it too expensive?” “Can’t we enjoy the anniversary event in the Yokohama area!?” and “Who will be in charge of it!!? Administration is too tough!!”
We are very serious and funny people….lol.
The planner, ™.ON, facilitated the discussion very well and found an affordable and feasible plan. It might be good to hold the event at “Yokohama Minatomirai Manyo Club”- a hot spring facility in a building, located in Minatomirai. 5 minutes on foot from Sakuragicho- Station. Super close!!
We loved her solution/ secondary plan and we had fun very much!!
ONさんが取り組んだのは「イベントプランを立ててその計画をスピーチにし、聴衆から出される質問や問題点（実現するうえでの阻害要因）を聞いて、即興で対処方法を提示する」プロジェクト！スピーチで５－７分、ディスカッションとQ＆Aセッションの合計で20分以内と制限時間もあります。
彼女がテーマに選んだのは当クラブの設立400回記念例会イベント。実際、今年の12/3（土）がその日に当たります！あまりにタイムリーなので本当のプランかと思いきや、このスピーチ用の創作話でした。笑。
日時は12/23（土）～12/24(日）で一泊二日。目指すは箱根！温泉地で合宿です！
集合時間や場所、移動手段（バスの中ではクイズ大会！）研修室、参加費用（３万～４万円）、タイムスケジュール、スピーチ世界大会王者をゲストに招いて夜通し行われるパーティには全員浴衣で参加することなど、具体的で綿密なプランが共有されました。
そこからはグループディスカッション！クリスマスの週末にぶつけるタイミングでの開催の是非、費用は高くないか/足りるのか、泊まりがけである必要があるのか、もっと近場で気軽に参加できるロケーションはないか、誰がこの大きなイベントの幹事をやるんだ！など、意見が出るわ出るわの大盛り上がり！
ONさんは、「私が幹事やるから大船に乗ったつもりでいて！でも、箱根じゃなくて、横浜みなとみらいの温泉施設『万葉の湯』もいいかもね…」と妙に現実味のあるプランを出して、みんなの笑いと修正合意案を導き、セッションをピタッと終えました。（万葉プラン、いつか実現したらいいな～♪）
<Speech Evaluation Session/ 論評スピーチ>
Evaluators deliver their speeches to encourage the prepared speakers by appreciating their efforts and good points. They also give them suggestions to improve their speeches and delivery styles.
™. OS praised ™.OG for his successful presentation with efficient use of visual slides. He mentioned that the most attractive factor of his presentation was the speaker OG, himself. The audience was captivated by his energetic way of talking, powerful gestures and sense of humor. ™. OS advised him how to cut corners for good time management to make the speech eligible for award.
™. IW told that ™.ON’s session was well-organized and the theme was interesting. He suggested that it would be good that the presenter showed the project details to the audience prior to the meeting so that they could take time to think pros/cons and questions/proposals. His suggestion broadened our variety of choices on how to lead the meeting.
総合論評者のリードのもと、各論評者は担当のスピーチのどこが素晴らしかったか、どんな工夫や表現に魅力を感じたか、いい点や各スピーカーの強みを捉えて伝えました。
次に、どのような点に留意し、デリバリーするとよりよいスピーチになるか、改善点を提案しました。
スライドを使ったプレゼンテーションをすることがお題だったＯＧさんに対し、論評者のＯＳさんは、スライドが興味深く素晴らしく効果的に使用されていたことを述べたうえで、それにも増して聴衆がひきつけられたのは、スピーカーであるＯＧ自身さんであったと称えました。唯一惜しかったのは時間制限を超えてしまったこと。冒頭の一般概念はカットして（スピーチのネタに迷ったというトーストあるある）ダイレクトに核心に迫ることで、時間内に濃い内容で話しきれるのではと提言。日本語で言う「アプリ（アプリケーション）」英語では「アプ（app)」と発音するなどの豆知識も盛り込まれました。
論評者のＩＷさんはＯＮさんのセッションに対し、そのテーマの選択の面白さや合理性をコメント。メンバーから質問や意見をもらい、その場で返答や切り返しをする訓練のプロジェクトの場合、今回のように現地で状況設定や質問を発表する方法と、事前に告知しておいて考えてきてもらう方法があると述べました。発表者のやりかたを尊重したうえで、別の進行方法も提示することは、別のメンバーにとっても別の機会にいきる選択肢/ ひきだしを増やすものとなったと感じます。
＜General Evaluation/ 総合論評＞
General Evaluator ™.MZ gave us warm and constructive feedback.
He evaluated all evaluators, roletakers and the meeting in general.
He kindly advised TMOD, informed the members of the importance of distributing the meeting agenda beforehand to stay ahead of time.
Thus, the mutual supporting culture and atmosphere has been created in our club.
和やかな笑顔のMZさんによるあたたかく、包括的な総合論評。
論評者の視点/提言の優れた点を挙げ、各役割を担ったメンバーを個々に激励。総合司会者にはゆとりをもったスケジュールでアジェンダ/進行表を会員に配布することを優しく促し、次回以降、同じ役割を担うメンバーにとっても意味のある気づきとクラブの共通概念を培う場となりました。
みんなで協力し、支えあい、教え学びあう風土はこうして培われます。

役割の説明をみんなの前で話し、任務を正確に確実に遂行してミーティングを支えてくれました。
今回ロールに初挑戦の新メンバーＳＳさん。役割説明をするスピーチには雛形があることをミーティング開始直前に知るも、先輩メンバーのアシストをうけて即興で説明を敢行！慌てず落ち着きのある様子・対処はビジネスの現場で培ってきたさすがの底力！見ているほうが「事前準備なしで大丈夫かな！」とみんなでドキドキしましたが、お上手でした！笑。

Hi, I’m Yukiko.
On September 29th, we can see the Harvest Moon, a beautiful full moon.
Long time ago, my mom told me that there was a bunny on the moon, making a rice cake【mochi】 by pounding steamed sticky rice. I looked up to the sky to search for the bunny.
Why don’t we find the bunny? We have hectic days but let’s stop and breeze in the autumn evening air. Release trivial worries and matters into the sky and fulfill your mind with beauty and peace.
こんにちは。9/29は十五夜。中秋の名月。お月見の日。
昔、お月様の上でうさぎがお餅をついていると母に聞いて、夜空を見上げたことを思い出します。そういわれて見ると、そう見えることの不思議。
せわしない毎日のなか、「今日は月が、星が綺麗だな」と思うとき、ふと安らぎを感じます。時間や目の前の「やるべきこと」に追われることから、宙（そら）という大きな空間に一瞬、心を自由に放つような。
皆さんも満月を見上げながら、お月見だんごを召し上がるのはいかがでしょう。笑。
