本日の例会では、期待の新人Sjさんの入会式を執り行いました。アイスブレーカースピーチが非常に楽しみです。トーストーマスターの道を共に歩むことができることに心強さを感じるとともに、このめぐり合わせに感謝したいと思います。

In the prepared speech session, 3 wonderful speakers addressed the captivate speeches.
The first speaker: Mr-san
Speech Title: Mon/gate
門をテーマとしたスピーチでした。海外との比較は興味をくすぐる内容であり、また視覚的な説明もコンパクトかつ十分であり効果的でした。続いて、鳥居にまつわる日本人の心との関係性が指摘され、そこからは話の展開力が十分に伺えました。
最後には、門に関する言葉遊びも出てきて、笑いのうちにスピーチが締めくくられました。
She focused on a gate. At the beginning, I could not help thought "come on!!"(dad joke). The speech had been kept high quality contents throughout the time. Judging from the audience faces, it was no doubt her aim to describe variety of gate around world have been successful well. Particularly, the contrast with overseas gates impressed Japanese one stylishly and implicitly. The last regarding "hamon" was extremely funny punchline.
The second speaker: Sb-san
Speech Title: The Words I Felt Encouraged
ご自身を導いてくださったメンターさんとの経験・思い出と共に、メンターの重要性・自身の成長をについてお話いただきました。悩み・失敗をめぐる当時の模様や、成功の瞬間について表現が特に素晴らしく、頭を抱える仕草、ガッツポーズなど髄所で効果的なジェスチャーが光っていました。円熟味のある落ちついたスピーチスタイルに留まらず、チャレンジを続ける姿勢には脱帽です。
She talked about the importance of the mentor and her own growth, as well as her experiences and memories with the mentor who taken her to right way.
The expression for the mood of worries and failures at that period and the moment of success was particularly wonderful, and effective gestures such as head-holding and guts poses were brilliant. Beyond the well developed and calm speech style, I have to take off my hat for the attitude of continuing the challenge.
The third speaker: Kr-san
Speech Title: I wanted to be a good protégé.
こちらもメンターに関するスピーチです。プロテジェの立場・視点を通じて、メンタープログラムの神髄・重要性にするどい洞察で切り込んで行くと共に、他の追随を許さない真摯な姿勢が聴衆に強く印象付けられました。メンティー、メンター、VPE、今期会長、そしてトーストマスター自身、それぞれ経験の側面を考えると、センテンス１つ１つに説得力があり、また同時に味わい深いものであることに時折りハッとさせられます。
The last speech was also about mentors. Through the perspective of the protege,
She has cutting into the essence and importance of the mentor program with the deep insight. The unrivaled sincere attitude strongly impressed to the audience.
I was sometimes surprised to find that each sentence have rich-tasted and was convincing, considering the experience of the protégé, mentor, VPE, current president, and The Toastmaster herself.
