第262回例会02/24(土) 活動報告 (Meeting Report)

当クラブの例会が、横浜市民活動支援センターで開催されました。寒い日にも拘わらず、多くの会員が参加し、充実した例会となりました。まず、ビジネスセッションにおいて、３月１８日(日）に、エリア５４スピーチコンテストが、当クラブと横浜オーシャンクラブの共同主催で開催されるので、多くの会員に参加してほしい旨の説明がありました。また、Yさんの入会式が、歓迎ムードの中、行われました。その後、教育担当副会長のSさんによる司会、進行で、ミーティングが始まりました。今回のテーマは、「Surprise」です。　紹介する皆さんには、それぞれ、Surpriseに関連した紹介がなされ、面白い企画となりました。そして、即席スピーチの進行役は、フレッシュなTさんです。Tさんは、新たな試みとして、即席スピーチをした人が、次の即席スピーチをする方法で行ったので、大変、その場を盛り上げることができました。その後の３人による準備スピーチが行われました。次回の例会は、３月１０日(土)です。

 The regular meeting on Feb. 24th was conducted well by many participants despite cold weather conditions.
At the  business session, the Area 54 speech contest hosted by both our club and Yokohama Ocean Toastmasters club was introduced and President urged us to join the contest. After that, the today's Toastmaster of the Day (TMOD) chaired the meeting. He started the meeting with the theme "Surprise", and used today's theme very often in the meeting. Table Topics master was TM T, a fresh member in our club. he chaired table topics session with a unique way. After that, 3 members delivered fantastic speeches respectively. The next meeting is on March 10th. Welcome to the meeting again.

第261回スピーチコンテスト例会2/10(土)報告（In-house speech contest report)

２月１０日(土)は、当クラブ内スピーチコンテストのため、特別例会となりました。
英語スピーチコンテストには、６名がエントリーし、上位３名が入賞されました。そして、１位と２位は、クラブ代表として３月１８日(日)に開催予定のエリア５４スピーチコンテストに出場することになりました。また、日本語スピーチコンテスト部門では、１名の参加でしたが、素晴らしいスピーチをされ、当クラブ代表して参加することが決まりました。クラブ内コンテストに参加された皆さんにとっては、大変、いい経験になったと思います。また、エリア５４スピーチコンテストに出場することになった皆さん、おめでとうございます。ぜひ、エリアコンテストも勝ち抜いて、さらに上のコンテストをめざしてください。今日のスピーチコンテストには、他のクラブからもサポートをいただき、多くの皆さんの協力によって、成功理にコンテストを終了することができました。
次回の例会は、２月２４日（土）です。

Today's meeting was a special meeting due to the in-house speech contest.
6 members joined the International speech contest and three winners were announced. the 1st winner and the 2nd winner will proceed to the Area 54 Speech contest on March 18th.  As for the Japanese speech contest, there was one  contestant and  he delivered a splendid speech. He will also proceed to Area 54 speech contest.  I wish they will do their best at the contest. For this in-house speech contest, many members joined it as supporters. Moreover, some members from other clubs also supported it.  Thanks to everyone's efforts, the contest was successfully done. The next meeting is Feb. 24th (Sat.)

第261回みなとみらいトーストマスターズクラブ英語スピーチ例会は、2/10(土)14:00-16:00に横浜市市民活動支援センター4Fセミナールームで開催予定です。

次回例会はToasmasters International英語スピーチコンテストと日本語スピーチコンテストのためのクラブ予選In-house Contestです。

英語スピーチコンテストに6人、日本語スピーチコンテストのコンテスタントが登場予定です。

トーストマスターズクラブの例会はどのように英語スピーチを練習しているのか、どのようにプレゼンテーション・スキルが上達するのか、ご興味がある方は、是非、見学（ゲスト参加）にお越しください。
